I feel retarded but is a t3 turbo good to push between 8 - 10 lbs of boost or is it overkill?

I guess I should have stated the question better. What I mean is it going to have a lot of lag, quick spool up, I know it can handle 8 - 10.

yeah you have a decent size turbo. lag shouldnt be terrible. the rest of your setup looks legit, for 650 you can get a better manifold though... dont be afraid to buy used parts, they will save you money. things like your manifold can be bought used for much cheaper. standard 38mm tial wastegate is good. 3" exhaust piping will be good

EDIT: the bigger the AR the bigger the turbo and the longer the lag but the more hp it puts out.

that is alot of turbo for a stock y8... the size is over kill. go with a smaller turbo & boost a lil more to make of for the power deference. on a stock y8 that turbo will never see it full potential

stock ;) Actually I bought a sleeved block off a friend for $800 since he wrecked his car. has lower c/r rods

I am just figuring out certian things first that way I don't have a setup that doesn't do to much for me

your list looks good, but you've forgtten one really, really important part- fuel managment.

lots of cash there.. I did my whole s**t for 800 including fuel managment(excluding all the new stuff for my big poower setup), just to show you how of an over kill that turbo will be for you Im getting tuned for 550+whp this coming month & my compressor A/R still is smaller then the one you listed & i have a built 9:1 GSR.

Since you think this is overkill what would you recommend. 8 - 10 lbs is only going to be while I am breaking the motor in. Then I plan on cranking it up Sleeves can hold 40 lbs boost easy is what I was told by a dealer

Wideband I am going to get an aem, place has a chip burner. Since I work I will have to drop the car off at a place so I will tell them street and dyno can't go just dyno. 370cc injectors on a welbaro fuel pump havn't decided on which one

T3-50 Trim would prolly be the smallest id go for a set up as yours, it would be fast spool & good output. next up the bigger T3-Super 60, lil slower spool, but lil better power output.
