I was curious as to which turbo I could expect the best gains out of for my 2000 EX SOHC VTEC.

I read that the Edelbrock performer X kit was really good (made almost 180hp i believe) and is street legal. Is the GReddy SOHC kit this good, too? You know any other one's that are really good? I'm new to FI, btw x.x

i hope that helped... sorry for the many long posts... but i would look more into the revhard stage-2.... sounds like a good setup.. and the stage-1 for a daily driver like mine.. im hopefully gonna get a stage-1 with FMIC

It will take a while but, if you keep teaching yourself about it you'll figure out exactly what you want. A custom application will give you the best gains and probably cost a lot less. www.turbod16.com is a great place to go though, you need to read a lot there. That's where I learned the most.

^^ take a couple months to ask questions, read articles, get testimonials from people. in these few months, do some research on differnt kind of turbos, cfm, flow charts, what you really want to build, what you really need.

I have a 2000 Ex, and has the greddy turbo kit with the greddy intercooler. Im runnin about 4.5lbs of boost right now because of stock fuel internals. You will have to upgrade more componets, you cant just throw a turbo on this car because its not ment to be forced induction, you will run lean and blow up ur engine. I love my greddy kit so far but have yet to seen the potentional because i have to get a Fuel pressure regulator, ~450cc injectors, and a 255lph fuel pump. 4.5 lbs is safe for right now, but i want to push 10lbs so i have to up grade my fuel componets. the turbo wastegate is set at 5.6lbs, but i have sort of a large intercooler, and when u run boost through an intercooler you generaly lose about 1psi of boost. I picked this kit because the turbo wasnt huge, and i dont need it huge because i wouldnt recomomend pushing any more than 12psi on stock internals. I found no need for a big turbo because i wasent going to push more than 10psi, so why the hell would I buy a big turbo for 10psi that takes twice as long to spool?! Just common sence...
