all very good points. and you are right about the price difference. but if you dont want to blow your motor your gonna want a new ECU and a professional dyno tune. it would be a little more expensive but when you get done turboing that d series what are you gonna do next to add power. when you finish the swap youll make almost the same power as the turbo d but be NA. leaving the potential for a turbo in the future and being much faster than you will ever be in a d series. if your happy at 200hp and below though then go for it. this is only my advice.
d series can and will (already been done) hold 300+ whp. thats a full build though.

oh i know it will. but it is it practical? i think he's still trying to keep his street legal. all im saying is that you can build a b series faster for less money. and its more within most peoples range a swap and a turbo. thats like 6000-7000 total. im not saying your wrong. cause your not. im just giving another option.

work with what you have in your car... if you don't like the engine you've got then you shouldn't have bought the car in the first place unless you planned to swap... either case ofcourse the swap and turbo is going to be faster thats not a question but is it really worth the extra 4-5 gs?

just the swap would be faster even without the turbo. besides. the older civics didnt come with b16's in them. you have to swap.

a turbo d16 will beat gsr's, si's, and tuned well...it can beat a type r.

it will eat all those swaps alive depending on the tuning and the boost your running... with the money for the swap you could easily easily setup your d16 to kill the other engines

i dont understand people saying SWAP. spend the 1200 bucks like im doing and youll be able to rape a b16 and b18. sure you will get more power later...but we are speaking in the now. plus, who needs more than 200whp unless you are giong to keep the car as a track only/weekend car
