Type R with ITB and Skunk2 cams

I tuned this car, and it runs really well. Best time in it un tuned was 8.5 in the 1/8th mile at South Mountain in PA. It is a clear vid and vtec comes in really well. Final numbers were 180Hp and 132 Tq. Not as much as he hoped for but, still a strong car.

That Vtec crossover is Nasty, (in a good way)

Is type R vtec on the intake or exhaust cam?

I thought that my B16a vtec crossover was loud that shits was like a three of my crossovers!!!

Yea, his car screams when it hits man. It feels great when you are in the car. Check out my other post.. we are going at it in the 1/4 mile.

My vtec crossover sounded about like that after i put new cams and fiddled around with the vtec controller, i personally like a loud vtec engagement, pisses people off

from what i hear my vtec hits harder.. but then again its only a vid you cant tell that much by the sound quality, but i love the way mine hit when i had my car out it would start to hit little by little from 4k rpm then as soon as 5k came it just sounded like my exhuast poped off, one day i thought it was just the vtec hittin but i busted my cat and the exhuast did fall off..

On your website it didnt make 180... numbers on the dyno sheet there were 178.85 hp and 132.71 tq
and the ITR engine is 197hp stock im not surprised he had hoped for more... ive got 187hp from my b16 with bolt ons and minor mods...

I was just giving rough estimates on the Hp and Tq. Sorry it wasn't perfect. I believe we got 179.xx on one run so I just said 180, big deal I think not. And we were a little disapointed on the power, but every dyno is different. And what do you mean about 8.5????? that is what it ran in the 1/8th I don't know the specs of the run, but I do have it on video.

I am soo happy for you that you got 187 out of your B16, what dyno was it on and what mods? Because seriously that is a hell of a lot of power with bolt ons, lets get real.

i was expecting much louder for a typeR with itb's and cams......and MUCH more power....a guy on clubRSX put itb's and cams on his typeS motor and dyno'd 246whp......

his vtec is about as loud as my car at around 5k rpm
