I agree the car was lacking some what on power. But it sure doesn't run like it. Does it matter how loud people's vtec is, seriously that remind me of an argument in a parking lots about this

"No way man, I switched from that to a Injen short ram, and oh my god, it made a world of difference. I didn't make anymore HP but vtec is louder, which makes it seems like I am going faster"

haha, i only brought it up because usually ITB's = massive increase in noise level....that thing was relatively quiet....i actually wish my car was quiet, i hate driving around in loud cars

haha simular thing happen to me awhile back with a white TypeR teggy, he wanted to have a vtec contest..

i mean the car screams but like random said it should be louder with the ITB's...

ok lets get somthing straight. theres a difference between loud and hard. if your vtec kicks in hard, im sorry but your s**t is tuned wrong. the whole idea behind vtec in the first place was to maintain a stable powerband even into high rpms. if its loud, its understandable, but no-one should hit vtec hard, and you should stop messing with a ricer vafc.

vtec = ricer turbo.i know this because i have it.

i wouldn't call it a ricer turbo, but he's right, if you have huge power spike at vtec engagment, you need a better tune. its not supposed to feel like a turbo when it hits

that thing sounds exactly like mine does.....i'd put it on a dyno and show ya'll but i dont have a dyno lol. maybe when i get my new camera tuesday ill make a short video from inside the car and host it.

On your website it didnt make 180... numbers on the dyno sheet there were 178.85 hp and 132.71 tq
and the ITR engine is 197hp stock im not surprised he had hoped for more... ive got 187hp from my b16 with bolt ons and minor mods...

I "had" a stock b16 with omni power valvetrain and type-r cams and type-r ecu and when i hit vtec it wasnt smooth. And i didnt have no fancy gagets. i ran a respectable 155 whp with a gsr tranny.

Na, it doesn't loost power at all. Keeps climbing all the way.

they were all 4th gear pulls if that makes you feel anybetter. The car is very responsive on the street.
