test fit, might need to rig something up.

or get a custom plate that rotates the turbo. or go external gate

you might need to grind the webbing, but the only way to tell is to try it.

i have a horribly complicated idea. turn the turbo around on the manifold. problem solved.

more reliable? i dont think so. able to support higher boost levels and power output better? sure.

if external were more reliable, all factory turbocharged cars would be extenal. i think that the 99% that run internal might know that internal is extremely reliable considering the warranty and vehicle longevity they have to think about.

on thread topic, chances are it will hit the block. its a t3 right? from what ive read almost all t3 internals hit the block with a HF manifold :???:

which is why most turbo guys run a half size radiator. you can get them on ebay for 150 bucks. its the only way thats gonna fit, unless you dont mind grinding your block down to the water jackets.

not to thread jack or anything but i live in the desert and can see temperatures as high as 120*, how well do you think the 1" core radiators will stand up to that heat on a turbo b16? or can you recommend a good size radiator so i dont have over heating problems

i live in the desert as well and see 110+ pretty consistantly. if your rad is properly setup(like stock so no air moves past, must go through) the radiator should cool just fine. if not, there are those Mishumoto or whatever rads on ebay for about $150. they are 2" thick, and solid aluminum, no plastic endcaps like mine.

any all aluminum half size with at least a 2" thick core (a 2.5 or 3" is best for a turbo car) and aluminium tanks should be just fine.
