Ok, here we go..
couple weeks ago I changed my head gasket, since then I noticed my RPM's are running a little high, (about 200-300 more than usual)
I dont pay it any mind until last night when I was reading a fluctuating RPM gauge and high RPM's can be a vacuum leak. Opened the hood this morning to swap out my leaking vtec solenoid gasket and I start poking around. I noticed one of my vacuum lines in the lower back of my intake manifold isnt attached. I attach it and go on my way...
swapped out the vtec solenoid and changed my oil, no bubbles no troubles!
I then realize I have swapped out the vtec solenoid gasket between the solenoid and the head (PN 15825-P2M-005)
after doing this I start heading to the dealer to get the second gasket thats still leaking oil...and here's question 1...
What gasket is this, I can't find it online anywhere? It's the rubber gasket between the top half and bottom half of the vtec solenoid?
My next issue is that I left the house in the car to try and goto the dealer to get that gasket and after my engine warmed up, about 2 miles from home I stop at a red light and my RPM's drop to about 100, if not under.
I saw a 7/11 so I stop to grab a monster and being that my RPM's were just a little high with the vacuum line unplugged, I unplugged it.
Pulled out of 7/11 to head home cause I was concerned about the RPM's and I had to get on the throttle just a little to get into traffic and my car bogged down to s***, check engine light came on and ran rough as hell.
I get the car home, cant drive over 20 mph and shut it off, plugged the vacuum line back in the car and let it sit about 5 minutes.
went back out started it up and now it's idling fine at about 500 RPM?
any guesses?
