Of course, but you should always expect $5-10k in repairs/upgrades on a home, particularly one you're gonna live in! Just a rule of thumb for housebuying.

Dat Kouki all day. I really really want to do an RB25DET swap on an S14. If I can find a clean rolling chassis (or even a running car) for a decent price, I'll grab it.
Why an RB?

My mom is in ICU right now for some diabetic mess she's in. Thoughts and prayers would be appreciated. She'll be in ICU until her electrolytes get balanced or something like that.

I had to go pick up the kids from school today. Got to drive my dads big ass suburban. He's got a little work under the hood so it's fun. Spending some quality time with the kids was nice too.

I love 240s and all, but because they're super "in" right now they're severely overpriced.

I have to agree, in some areas 240sx are going to be overpriced but I've seen some for a reasonable price so its a matter of looking around.

What upppppp? I'm still dead seat on selling the civic and buying the Miata. I just have to bide my time.

So far I've been debating wether to sell all my toys and get a BRZ or dd the MR2 and track the RX-7 in D1. I'm leaning a lot towards the RX-7. I'm looking into getting the engine and transmission this weekend but I have to check them out.

That's where I'm at. Need that RWD, plus the potential of RB25DET is calling me out haha
An RB25DET with the 240sx is a great combination, the set up requires a few things but ultimately Its worth it.

I'd probably just track the RX7. Is it a FC? I think you have posted a picture of it before I don't remember.

Ive posted pictures of an FB that I was thinking about trading for my hatchback, but I haven't posted any for my FC.

I have countless reasons for getting a BRZ but the FC just seems convenient and less of a hassle since I already have it. The aftermarket support is what I really have to think about.

Well the BRZ already has a variety of aftermarket support. The FC I wouldn't know too much about their aftermarket support.

The aftermarket support for the BRZ is expanding rapidly and is very large already, the FC aftermarket wasn't that big to begin with and is literally only going to be fab or imported parts from Japan in today's date.

Have you found a Miata yet?

RB's are Nissan's version of the 2JZ.. bullet proof motors with a lot of aftermarket support, even stateside. They are capable of huge amounts of power while still remaining reliable and economically feasible to drive. Plus, it becomes a mini Skyline! haha

I just have to keep my eyes peeled for a good deal. They pop up occasionally.

BRZ's are over-rated! Low power output for the cost of the car, and I wouldn't be inclined to heavily mod a brand new car.. Stick with the RX-7!

Exactly! I was considering the TT, but the swap is expensive as hell and kind of rare.

Been at work an hour, and I already want to leave. SO BORED.

Bored already? mini Skyline haha

The BRZ has received a lot of talk and fame, especially since it's an 86 tribute but I'm not going to pay 23k for it. I'm paying much less. I'm actually very inclined to working with a newer car considering there is already mapping software compatible with it. Not to mention that it opens the possibility to get into contact with Crawford Performance. The power isn't a big deal since my goal is just to have fun and try and enter D1GP. I also noticed a while back that Crawford has been tuning a BRZ and have doubled hp and tripled tq. I won't believe it until I see Dyno numbers but they are very reputable so I'm inclined to work with them if I get a BRZ.

The RX-7 has a lot of outdated material to work with and any reputable shop on 7s are no where near. I'm okay with doing it myself but getting ahold of Dyno hours is difficult .

Yeah, I'm really slowww at work during Winter. Spring/Summer is when it gets slammed busy. As of now, I have minimal staff on-hand, so my workload is less than halved. Oh well! More time to f**k around on Facebook/the internet in general haha.

When it was first hinted at, I kept an eye on it (RWD sports coupe that is going to be priced well, with an estimated 250whp out of the factory!? It all sounded so good!), but upon release, it just didn't grab me. I met a few dudes with them, one who had a ton of bolt-ons, suspension, a bunch of carbon fiber aero shite, and a tune. It was still kind of sluggish to me.. curious to see what Crawford can do with them, though. I've been hearing that they're really breaking the whole car down to analyze every square inch of motor and suspension. I'll keep an eye!

This is true.. good quality rotary shops are few and far between. Most people think they know how to build them, and end up destroying the car haha.

I love FWD, specially a the Honda ones =) One day i will have a RWD tho, for sure.

MR-2, Yeah that's a winner.
Miata, you better believe that's a winner.

This car will be a track car, with a bit of drifting fun added in (would like to do canyon runs with it, so suspension and torque curve will be a big focus). The RB25DET is going to make a great amount of power stock, and won't require me to push the motor to a huge amount of power to get where I want to go (I'll start with a modest goal of 350whp, maybe less). I have all these ideas, but need a damned chassis first. Considering an S13 now, due to the readily available amount of rolling chassis for under $1k. I've found like 4 in my area for $500-$700, but they're beat to s**t.

No, not really all of them are over priced and I keep seeing the same ones I don't like. I'm looking for a 94-95 lsd model in particular.

See I've heard getting basic parts (not performance parts) for RB's were a pain in the ass. But I'm not into Nissan's :what: I'm just friends with a lot of people that are.

Buuuuuut I really REALLY want an S12

You and old ass chassis!

Nah, you can get pretty much anything you want/need for an RB via the internet now. It's pretty easy, and not terribly expensive (akin to our Hondas).

Exactly, and that is my biggest concern with working with the 7. As far as the BRZ goes, it seems like a very viable option. A BRZ with bolt ons isn't going to be anything like a properly tuned car and that's why it probably still felt sluggish. There are many factors that can play in.

I see, that's going to be difficult, I've seen only one of those around here. Luckily, tuning a miata is reasonably cheap.
