Grocery shopping, foooooooood, movies, blah. It's supposed to rain today and I always feel like crap on rainy days.
Isn't this^ what you should have written, John? Or is your style of moderating "not to moderate" and to encourage trolls and flamers? This seems to be what you are saying here and in another thread. Do other CC moderators support this view?
In a sense, yes. Looking at the bigger picture, trolls will always be trolls, whether on this board or another. Reporting only stops what you see then and there. But you will never stop it. We have rules on this forum that allow and do not allow for certain things to happen. If you do feel like something is report worthy, by all means, report it.
I do not support trolling. I find it entertaining because people take the internet so seriously and get offended by people that are pretending to be someone they're not. I find it very entertaining actually. Which is why I'll let some mild comments slide. Being directly rude and disrespectful by name calling, swearing, etc. is clearly breaking the rules and I try to stop those then and there. But making a stupid remark that gets a laugh out of a bunch of people doesn't hurt. We are not a dictatorship. We are not communists. We do not sit behind our computers with serious faces and stop anything dead in it's tracks if it deems troll worthy. Like I said, there are rules that outline what is allowed and not allowed. Report something if you think it doesn't belong.
I do not like being strict unless rules are clearly broken. I'm a happy person. I like to laugh, I like to smile, I like to make other people laugh. A lot of the things I say are just for funnies.
With that being said, if you guys (cookie & Ron) wish to continue discussing this, do it through PM's. Otherwise I will delete posts discussing this matter from this point on.
