I recommend a Meritage for a beginner to red wines. Mondavi actually makes a decent meritage. I used to drink the hell out of it until my pallet developed more. Another good transition is a blend, with a content around 11%. Try something that is fruit ENDING, not fruit forward. Since you're still favoring the sweeter part of your pallet, ending sweet will sit better than a dry.

I can't sleep. My dog woke me up at 2am and I've been awake since.
It affects how the wine breathes, very much how different beer glasses, steins, pilsners help beers breathe.
The shape also determines how the wine hits your pallet.
Ever wonder why they always talk about strawberries and champagne? The strawberries help bring out the flavor in the champagne. Or chocolate with wine? Same concept.
Last year I tried an Asti(heavy on the bubbly), paired with Edema-me. Flippin FANTASTIC!

I have small wrists, that wouldnt fit my arm lol but it is a nice looking watch. The GF is kinda mad I spent 3500 on a watch though but hey it will last for generations my dad gave me one of his when I was younger and the value has gone up on it

Pretty sweet ek turbo pulled up next to me on the freeway. Dropped a gear, he did the same(mean sounding blow-off) and started to pull. I dropped to third got ahead a bit at 60. At about 90 he finally caught up and got ahead. We blew past a highway patrol at 100; luckily he got off the freeway. Rolled with the ek for probably 45 mins then peaced out. First pull I have lost with the type r. Was pretty proud I held my own against a turbo though
