It's cause your wiping to zero instead of just over writingWell, the first disk was my freshly burned dvd using InfraRecorder at 6x speed, and I got an error that I can't remember now. The second disk, was my OLD windows 7 disk and threw a dvd driver missing error. HDD should be good, it worked fine before I got my new motherboard and couldn't run it anymore. It's IDE, so I had to minus a DVD drive to put it in, but it's the biggest drive I have. I'm wipining it completely clean with terminal on ubuntu right now. I'll try my new disk again and see what's up. I'll take a picture of the screen when I do it.
