I want to get my motorcycle license, but there's two problems. I don't have a bike, and my mom and girlfriend don't want me to because they think motorcycles are dangerous. Most accidents are caused by idiots in cars. Thanks!! I feel like a dork because I'm super excited to change my Facebook profile job thing to Tesla.
Currently at Starbucks studying for my motorcycle permit.
You have a friend that is willing to teach you? Or you can take a riding course that may have bikes you can use. I lucked out because my boyfriend just bought his own bike and he learned on his best friends '83 Honda CB550. Then I got to learn on the CB.I want to get my motorcycle license, but there's two problems. Ordered my brake rotors and pads. Hopefully will be able to install them tonight.
I do have a friend who has a honda bike, not sure what kind though. It'll probably be something I'll do when I'm a little older and out on my own.You have a friend that is willing to teach you? And I understand about the whole "parents don't like bikes thing". My dad being a very protective dad and a paramedic scraping those guys off the road, it's going to be really s***ty when the time comes to tell him. My mom had her endorsement though (I learned this at the bar with her the other night ) and I asked my grandpa on my dad's side what I should do about it. And he just said, "You're an adult you can do what you want." Also my boyfriends arguing point is if I'm going to be riding on his bike with him, I need to have my endorsement in case something happens to him and he can't ride.
Bikes have always been in my extended family. My uncle's have always had them. My favorite uncle ALWAYS had one when I was little and he would take me on rides. Ever since I was little little I've wanted a sportbike. I wanted a Ninja for the longest time It was inevitable. And I seem to have this knack for motorized vehicles. Cars.... bikes.... planes..... etc.
Be prepared, it's scary at first (I never rode dirtbikes or anything) then it's SUPER addictive.I do have a friend who has a honda bike, not sure what kind though. It'll probably be something I'll do when I'm a little older and out on my own.
I think knowing how to drive stick/ understanding how a clutch works with the throttle makes all the difference.Be prepared, it's scary at first (I never rode dirtbikes or anything) then it's SUPER addictive.
That's exactly what one of my co-workers said. He said he's been riding for a really long time (grew up dirt bikes I think) and said it really helps if you know how to drive a manual car already. I've only ever owned a manual so I'm hoping that will give me a huge head start on learning how to ride.I think knowing how to drive stick/ understanding how a clutch works with the throttle makes all the difference.
