I'm going to Lake Chelan in eastern Washington.

I saw a Groupon Getaway for there not long ago; it looked beautiful!
We're planning a 'vacation' to Chicago. We've just about paid off all debts so it's a close, shorter trip.

Chicago would be cool! The furthest I've ventured towards the East Cost is Utah

And yeah it's gorgeous. I go every year. He hasn't been in like 10 years and it'll be nice to get away from everything and everyone.

Chicago is fun, but pricey.

Missouri is the further west I've been in my adult life, and I live here! Apparently as a baby I was all over the Rocky Mountain range with family, and of course I've been to the east coast. Florida is as far south, but I've never been to the Gulf, and Wisconsin is as far north I think.

Getting away is exactly why we're doing this too. No drama or anything, but we're both so worn out with the 2nd dog right when I accepted my current job, getting debts paid, planning to buy the new vehicle, and trying to keep up with our personal lives.

Dude, Seattle is on the schedule for next year maybe. We just re-signed our lease today, but know we're house shopping in 8 months. And since that's my territory, I know exactly what we're looking at with costs. I'm almost thinking we may not get a vaca next year. I hate priorities!

It's funny how that works. You could live somewhere for however long, and not do things that the area is known for.
I've lived in STL for almost 9 years now, and I've yet to go to the AB Brewery, I've only been in the arch I think 2 or 3 times. Never set foot on the river boat, never been to the Millenium. I think I haven't though mostly b/c that's more touristy things.
