What inspires your build?

I'm feeling a little inspired today after watching some of my old favorite videos. So I decided to express it in an OT thread. Plus I think this would be fun!

So, what was it that inspired you to make your build what it is today/guided you in the direction of where you want to go with it? It could be another car, a friend, a shop, family...etc.

Pictures would make it more fun

This is a Civic I saw in a video, then read about in HondaTuning. I fell in love with it instantly (weird because it's orange and I HATE orange, but it's crazy clean). And it's exactly what I would love mine to look like, except Champ White

To be quite honest... Nothing inspired my car. For the people that know my car, it's VERY basic with not many mods. I've built it the way it is now based on personal perference.

Some of the mods were based off the Civic Type R (wheels though they're more like the NSX wheels, pedal covers, and interior re-wrapped red). My suspension mods were based on budget and desire for a particular spring rate vs. ride height. My steering wheel was based on pure sexy bling bling . My lip and fogs were based on personal choice. I didn't want to pay a lot for an OEM Si lip and hated the way Type R styles looked so I went with a Mugen style lip and as for fogs, I knew I could trust OEM for quality, fitment and installation so I went with that.

Nothing inspired my car. Cars have been in my family for as far back as I can remember, so I guess I thought it was just what you do with a car; not leave it stock.

When I got the civic, I just wasn't happy at all with how it was stock, so I made it how I wanted it at the time. I've now come to realize I'll never be happy with a civic, no matter how much money I waste on it.

Before I even had my learners license I had older friends with tuners (accords, civics, eclipses, etc.) and I always favored those over any domestic car. I leaned more to civics for the sporty and sleek look, where the accords look more bulky, as well as the eclipse. It really came down to personal preference to me. I subscribe to Honda tuning and I see all these rides that look almost the same. Rims, lowered, lip kit, some bad-ass turbo and some brides to sit in. I want a ride that's all mine. If that means a little rice in the pile then fine by me. I'm currently re-doing my interior black because well.. I like black interiors. I'll be wrapping the headliner in a red fabric, or vinyl, and matching that by wrapping the fabric on the door panels, and the vinyl on the rear panels because I like the red "type R" look. Throwin' some red floor mats in there too. Getting an aftermarket steering wheel because I'm not a big fan of the stock one. I hate the horn buttons and they keep popping out as well. Getting a mugen lip kit so it'll have a more aggressive, low to the ground look, without the money and loss of dd friendliness that's involved in a coilover set-up. Anyways, here's some picture's that inspire me.

EDIT: I've actually followed that car for a while, and then when I saw it in HondaTuning I was super excited.

i dunno if this counts as inspiration but more so motivation, but i have a bunch of greek friends who are into BMW's and they would always try to tell me that their cars were better than any japanese cars, so i always wanted my civic to be both fast and look good

My god that thing is beautiful!! Really digging the video. My inspiration comes from Crash!........and Kelly. Both have very nice rides. And nothing inspires me more than a woman into cars. Sooooo freaking sexy!
