What is faster? 2000 GSR or 2000 Si? Both with bolt-on's...

Hey guys just wondering what car will win say a 40mph roll, a 2000 GSR or 2000 SI if both cars are equipped with I/H/E and similarly equipped drivers.

My guess is that the GSR should win by about a car or slightly more, but my brother thinks otherwise. What do you guys think?

BTW, I did a search with no notable results, thanks..=)

Well let's see:

SI:
160HP / 116 TQ
Weight - ~2600 + driver

GSR:
170HP / 128 TQ
Weight - ~2700lbs give or take like 50 depending on coupe / sedan + driver

I'd say if the GSR driver can't drive, then it'll be kinda close. But GSR should win.

Well a Stock Si Runs high 15's and a Stock GS-R runs mid to low 15's.. Take your pick. They are both pretty slow IMO. Both are heavy cars, since they come fully loaded. On the 1/4 is a driver race really, but on the highway, the GS-R will own the si on top end.

ive had a gsr with cam gears/i/h/e and tuning hang right on my ass with a passenger and my 300lb audio setup in, and i hang bumper/bumper with a gutted to hell gsr swap crx

(both on the highway)

so id have to say gsr, si's are actually... quite frankly... rather weak.

what are the mods on the crx? whos the better driver? my buddies bone stock (w/ suspension mods only)89 CRX Si (d16a6) hangs with stock GSR's. The guy he bought it from said he's raced stock gsr's and they were head to head. On the freeway though, that would be a different story.

crx had I/H/E and an ITR ecu

he ran 14.5 @ 5800ft here in colorado at Bandimere, and 13.9 on spray.

I raced him without the bottle and we were bumper/bumper.

A GSR swapped crx is a hell of alot faster than a stock SI CRX, or a gsr with i/h/e.

Cam gears/tuning make a big difference on most motors from what ive noticed.

neither, the LS/Vtec that gave them both 2 cars will pull 3 up top and 20 if he sprays it
