Hello guys I plan on boosting next month and I just want to make sure I am not forgetting any thing in my setup . This is what I have right now. I own a 98 4dr civic with a dx motor. I have a custom chipped p28 obd2 to obd1 converted . My turbo stup is custom and is my very first. SETUP 300zx T-25 turbo Hks manifold stealthmode oil line kit and tunertoys waterline kit. 2.5 inch mandrel bent piping all tbolt clamps and 4 ply silicon hoses 3 reducers spearco bar and plate frontmount intercooler, rc440 cc injectors greddy type s bov with horn extension. msd btm ignition and an apexi vafc 2 also an apexi avcr and extra oil pan. I have all the necessary guages and greddy oil adapter. What do you guys recomend or see that I might need to look into getting. motor has 50k miles. t25 checked no shaft play by turbo shop. Oh I forgot I have 5 speed 7lb fly stage 3 clutch and every motor mount insert. I just want to do it right the first time.

I never thought of welding my piping Ithat would have saved me a lot of money on silicon and tbolt clamps. And how do people usually tap their pans? Thanks for the responses too man.

injector clips?
downpipe?
exhaust?
hardware (nuts and bolts)
loctite red (prevents downpipe bolts and other bolts from backing out)
im guessing this is an internally gated turbo?

if you converted to obd1 from obd2, you most likely need them...

dont run your oil return line into your oil pan. regardless if 98% of people do it. It can very easily cause problems. tap into your block. I dont have a picture but if you look on your block there is a little casting that sticks out on the bottom left of the block in the front that will dump oil directly into the crankcase if you tap it there. no worrying about oil backing up in the return line. look at any factory turbo car, this is how they are set up.

After months of piecing together parts, my turbo will finally be installed tomorrow, and this is the way we are doing it, I will let anyone skeptical about this know how it goes.

i'm assuming the kit is for a civic and just the turbo was from a 300zx? from the way u listed all your parts it sounded like the whole kit is from a 300

traxx, i'd like to see these pics of tapping the return to the block . . . never seen anyone do that. i'm not knocking u but imo i dont think thats completely necessary.
change your oil regularly (1000 to 1500 miles) and u shouldnt have any oil debris backing up your oil return. honda motors were not originally designed for turbos so i wonder if what u want to do is ideal . . . but eh to each their own. my oil return works just fine. oil pans cost less than blocks if u mess up.

i have NEVER in my almost year and a half of extensive turbo research heard about returning the oil return to the block...even high end big boost big HP track hondas return their lines to the pan...

well today is here and it is done. return straight to the block right above the pan. not a singe leak and 30 miles driven so far, i dont see a drop of oil. I realize it might not be a common practice but its been done now. I only did it this way beacause of the problems i have heard of with oil backing up into the return. I think this is only when you make the return too low on the pan, but this way it will for sure not back up. Plus we drilled the block and tapped it for 3/8'' pipe thread, i dobut it will back up..

and btw- today is a big day, so on a side note, boost is the s**t. my first turbo car, and ive been waiting to do this for months. I will have a big post up in a few days.

here is the only pic i could snap tonight
