Saw this on Clubrsx.com, and thought it'd be interesting to do here on clubcivic. Just as the title says, list what's currently wrong with your civic!
-Salvaged Title. (I really should have carfaxed. Lesson learned...)
-Paint is absolutely destroyed (all around. Looks like previous owner Maaco'd over the already worn factory paint, with no prep).
-Suspension is shot (tokico blues all around, but all are shot, as well as springs).
-Axles are shot (CV joints torn on both sides. Ridin' dirtay).
-Headliner is destroyed (bought a new one, trying to locate sunroof slider), sunroof slider is destroyed.
-Door panel plastic (armrest cups) are broken, although material looks good, so you can't tell.
-Passenger door panel is pretty beat up.
-Cat just recently took a s***. $400 or so for a cat here in CA, so that's not getting replaced.
-Oil leak from transmission seal/gasket.
-Relatively certain that my valve seals are done, as I go through about a quart of oil every change.
-Motor mounts are bad (front two, haven't checked rear).
-Small crack in top of radiator, a tiiiiiny bit of coolant will leak out and makes my SRI filter and radiator look like I murdered a Ninja Turtle with them.
On the bright side:
-Brand new AEM SRI, DC Sport 4-2-1 ceramic headers, 6000k HIDS, rear tires, brand new window motors and actuators (both sides), Pioneer head unit with aux and iPod support.
-Little car still runs great and gets damn near 35mpg on the freeway.
-Alignment is friggin perfect, and car drives straight as an arrow.
-A/C compressor still works, is just going out, so when the car is moving, the a/c is ice cold (seriously as cold as a Ford's... most impressive A/C I've ever felt in a Honda).
-Full tune-up done 3k ago (wires, plugs, brand new dizzy, timed and tensioned belt to specs, Seafoam both engine and fuel system).
-2000 front and rear end, Si tails.
I got majorly hosed buying this car. I really should have researched it more, but I went three months without a car and was going crazy, so I just bought it. Never again, and this will likely be my last civic (sorry guys, but these EKs feel cheap as hell). Next up: A DC5, then onto a BMW.
