That's cool and all that but if your installer had just taken a little more time he could have run the wires under the seatback carpeting. 8)

i'm thinking that's a self-installed job... any shop around here would fire their installer for a job like that

Simple--pull back the carpet seat back, attach some MDF to the metal cross bars with zip ties, find where you are going to have the wires run through the carpet where the audio device is, run the wires under the carpet, pull the carpet back down, thread the wires through the carpet, attach the device to the wood over the carpet, plug and play.
