Oh, and for speakers. I'd recommend Eclipse for the doors. They thump hard. Can find a nice pair for a not too high price aswell.

I was in the same boat about 2 weeks ago. I had the alpine 9827 and it got stolen. I was leaning towards the alpine 9851, but instead went back to the pioneer DEH-770 (premier). I have been through 2 pioneers and an alpine, and honestly as much as I try to convince myself I like the alpine...the pioneer is a better radio. Dont get me wrong, the alpine is a great deck...but dollar for dollar, the pioneer is the best. Hope this helps.

I have a Clarion, had it for 2 1/2 years now swapped between 3 cars. Not a single problem with it... if you HAD to choose between the two though, i'd pick Alpine. Pioneer's headunits goto s**t just like all their other components *but thats just my opinion*

Pioneer HU's and pioneer amps/speakers are on totally different levels. I would NEVER put pioneer speaks in my car, but I personally think for the dollar, Pioneer makes the best decks.
