what turbo should I get for a gsr. I want to make a custom kit but I don't know what to use. I want to use it on stock internals for a while, but I want the turbo to be good for when I build up the bottom end.

Oh I forgot to mention I'm going to be using the car as a daily driver and sometimes just take it out to the track.

Id look for a turbo with a ball bearing. I personally am getting the edelbrock kit for the d16y8. Ive heard turbonetics makes a ceramic ball bearing t3/t4....thats what i would get.

I'd go with a t3/t4, but then again I'm running that on my D block. It spools quickly, less than a second and has potential to establish mass quantities of boost and push air volume. I've hit 197whp with my D, take it as you want it, my 0.02

The T88 is basically the same size as your fathers tractor turbo. Being it is a Cummins/Detroit/Cat/Mack engine. That thing will take about 20 miles to spool off your small motor and try fitting that under your hood!!!

^^ you can have 197whp but not be able to use it till about 5000 rpms.

you could have 2 hp and do worse, not use it. Damn, just stating my opinion. Guess my knowledge as a mekanik @ honda for 8 years is sh*t. Got dyno king, over here <-----

that also means I graduated at 17, which I did!!!

Let count:

1995-1996=1
1196-1997=2
1997-1998=3
1998-1999=4
1999-2000=5
2000-2001=6
2001-2002=7
2002-2003=8
2003-2004=9--------damn, 9 this year!!! Hope that clears things up on my end.

Spool is not more than a second. Backed by cryO2.

My God, being a mechanic doesnt mean you know everything in the word about mechanics. I learn something new everyday. If you ppl know more than I do then I would like to learn, teach me you f**k. I realize that the longevity of my motor will be sacrificed, I'm also asking in this freakin thing if you all think I should go with a different motor or stick with the s**t I got, f**k......

Guess I'll have another 6 Corona's

How many corona's have you had already!!! J/K
I don't want a big turbo that won't give any power until top end cuz a gsr isn't bad in the top end, I want more mid range power.

well if you want a boost around town setup, along with some track use....id look into something relatively small. like a t28, 16/18g, t3/t04e 50 trim with .48 a/r....

site to look at.... www.cheapturbo.com
