Which would be faster?

which of these would be faster and more reliable..... B16a2 turbo versus b18c1 NA <- fully built

you gotta be more specific, you gotta give every detail of parts, specs, and on what car. other then just by the question you ask. call miss cleo, i think she knows!...

i would go with the B18c1 NA....regardless of the reliability =)

I would go with the B18c1 NA because you could run that for a while then slap a turbo on that and blow the s**t out of a b16 turbo

thanks thats a really good point....... and hey has anybody driven a gsr or anybody have a b18c1 in there car.... i drove an SI today and love the way it sounds and i like the vtec is a GSR motor different sound because i heard that it is also does the vtec kick in at a different rpm what does it redline at? is the GSR a big step up can you tell a difference?

actually thats a really shitty point. the components that go into building a n/a motor are completely different than those that go into a turbo motor. but of course if you had done any of your own research you would have already known that. you ask these stupid general questions about which is faster/more reliable/better when the answer is always we dont know, explain further. but you cant because you dont know what fully built is or what it means, nor do you know th e first difference between turbo kits and such. you dont even understand the simple answeres your given because you keep making these damn threads.

if both were completely built, done correctly, and well maintained..... they'd both be reliable

in ur hands... i would just stick wit a sohc. Save the dohc for the big boys.

i turbo b16 will last longer. a fully built engines for daily driving wont last you long. when i hear the word fully built, im thinking atleast 250+ hp N/A engines and they are not made for daily driving.
