i/h/e costs nearly a grand for brand new name brand parts. s**t thats like half a turbo. And you dont need I/H with a turbo... (you get it in a kit -- IC and Turbo Mani)
i meant the B-series set-ups would need more than I/H/E to outrun the turboD (its kinda hard to type what i mean sometimes)

gotcha. I thought you meant for a D-series.. actually its true for both engines/turbo's. A grand into I/h/e could have been saved for turbo.. especially because I/H/E is like what, 20 whp?

Hey guys I know that a D Turbo is a good contender. When I raced these 2 guys at the Savannah Dragway I didnt just simply walk over these guys. His bumper was on my door. The second race ( other car ) he beat me. When we raced again I beat him with his bumper on my rear tire.

Just personally I wouldnt turbo a D. Like I said before, I've had a D, never again bro's.

haha..... ofcourse i'd take a DOHC motor over a SOHC but i don't have the money to swap/turbo and in my case turbo SOHC is my best bet.... but i like to prove people wrong on the underestimated d series engines... just because there SOHC doesn't mean there s**t... i use to think the same thing until i saw some built up d engines

no, im afraid you didn't get a b18c for 1800. Maybe a b18c1, but not a b18c

do it once, do it right.
.... or do it again. i can only say it so many times. beyond that, it's not my problem, just up to you to accept it.

i had a d in the car when it was purchased and i put the basic add ones which is a couple of hundred bucks that i don't want to loose since they are good parts. i also don't have money to swap and turbo, so im just gonna turbo what i have. i don't need more than 180-200 hp to the wheels. it will take time and a whole lot of money considerin my income, but it will happen.

its not that expensive to turbo your d, i jsut purchased a intercooler for 50 bucks!!! plus the turbo, bov, manifold only cost me 250! im not doin too bad! what i would do if i ws ^^^^ you, sell your intake and header now and save that cash for turbo goodies! i should be doing that with my short ram intake, but i hope to use th filter...so im not just gonna sell the pipe. anywho, a turbo d16 should whoop a ihe b16 anyday of the week, sounds to me like those guys were bad drivers.

T3 60 trim .48/.60 turbo
Uberdata
DSM 450cc injectors
Custom Manifold
Johhnyracecar 5 inch tall IC $220.00
2.5 inch charge piping, boots, clamps, etc $115.00
2.5 inch custom downpipe
turbo xs blow off valve

that entire set up cost a friend of mine just over $1k and tuned out 216 whp 181 tp. Sorry those are the only prices that I know of. I only know of those cause they were group buys also.

Great posts, glad some of my other posts have helped w/ dollar and hp.

I think ive said this before..................B18c1 is a usdm gsr block......B18c is a jdm gsr block......and b18c5 is the integra type R block.......once again b18c is not a type R..........A b18c in a hatchback should give a turbo'd D-series a good run for it's money.....especially with only a g in turbo work /and in a heavy full size coupe.....you talk power, torque, and who can shift faster.....lets not forget about the horsepower to weight ratio....THat alone can make an incredable differance.........don't get me wrong i use to think i was ricky racer out there too, with my little SOHC 1.5 dual point injection......Then I realized what a differance a B-series makes.....You want some power.......It's all about money and who can save.......Try a B-series swapped into a hatchback, and then save again and turbo charge that.......

in a text-based environment where prose is our main form of communication, punctuation is an important thing.
