stock tachs are not always 100% accurate

theirs an ignition pickup around the #1 plug wire so the dyno knows your rpm's, he was shifting at around 12 trust me it was sick

3rd gear pull? Are you kidding me, have you even tuned anything on the dyno. 3rd and 4th is basically the standard for tuning. It totally depends not only on the car, but the way the dyno is setup. I have dynoed in both gears and guess what? there was a 1 whp difference. 415whp is 415whp, and a dyno jet is not going to care what gear your in, all it is, is a accelermeter and a tool for tuning. All in all, my motor makes sick power and is effecient even at low boost levels. That's all that matters. On top of that, 4th is not even close to a 1:1 ratio. The most important thing is to dyno consistantly, air temp, gear, coolent temps, and etc. Did I make my subject heading "HEy look I made 400whp" Uhh no, this is just a lil fun video to post for everyone while I was on the dyno.

Guess what? I've dynoed on multiple dynojets yileding the same results.
10.5psi on GT35E 380whp+

Ofcourse on our local mustang dyno which reads 14 percent less than our 2 local dynojets.

It's all about consistant results, remeber the dyno is simply a tuning tool. No matter what great, the motor is making over 400whp with only 12psi.

As for 12,000 rpms, that's a s**t load. I rev to where my motor makes power, and 9700 is about it.

I noticed that too, but what's funny is that I have all new mounts. I do have a busted bushing where the AC mount is, but other than that all the mounts are pretty much new. I need to change that bushing to see if that is going to help.

you're joking right? 3rd and 4th do NOT read the same on a dyno. ive tuned several setups on a local Dynojet, as well as watched friends tune theirs, and 3rd ALWAYS reads higher than 4th.

get a little defensive, huh?

it dont matter...it made good power and im not complaining...im just complaining on the movement of the motor...if you were on the line and dumped it what would that motor do? i thik it would fall out with all that power....

I saw that video on clubsi.com earlier posted by the actual driver. The motor looks like it wants to jump out.

That's funny, but I did a 4th gear pull with my GSR tranny during that dyno session to check AF readings cause I get a smoother graph out of 4th gear pulls, like I said, no WHP difference. Torque was slightly affected and spool, but peak power was basically the same. It does not read different, on some dyno's it does and some cars. Period.

haha u know what, I just talked to the dyno operator this morning, you can actually see the 4th gear pull in the video. It was the 1st run shown on that overlay. So like I said, HP was basically the same, but torque was slightly different and spool. But it was very minimal. I know the local dyno pretty well and my car. I think I know my car better than anyone.

Also he reminded me that the 390+whp runs shown in the video when he overlayed the graphs was let off at 8600 and not 9500rpm's. That is why peak power is lower on those last 2 runs.
