lol yah i had the same fear, my biggest fear was a flat tire, i had a whole system for flat tires in the trunk. 6 cut off 2x4's a full size low profile aluminum jack, had to stagger the wood, like one peice to drive up on, then put 2 more in front of it, to drive up higher, god, such a f**king pain in the ass, i do not miss that s**t

And very simple... eBay coils and struts.. DropZone. The reviews of them have been hit or miss, and so far I've hit. 3 years strong no problems...
Roads aren't perfect anywhere here either. It's just on how you drive your car. Every meet we had, I always ended up basically getting stuck on the road, almost ripping everything on the bottom off, or breaking a lip/cracking something/ or scraping everywhere. I broke my BYS lip while on the freeway, I'm assume I hit a road turtle thing. Just saying, don't buy into the whole roads aren't good here thing.
Plenty of static slammed VW's on the east are lower/as low as my car was.
I'm so tired of that excuse. As I already know, eastcoast roads are reputably known for the worst roads in the US, STL has some horrid roads too. It's all in knowing how to drive and navigating through town, taking only certain ways, butt clenching and 'oh s**t!' when you hit, etc.
I refuse to go on cruises now b/c everyone can clear dips and creases but me, and I'm not going to destroy my car b/c others in front can clear it and i don't see it til last second.
