you don't have to drill a hole in your short ram, just put it on there and get a mini filter for the vacuum. i have one on my b16. i don't know where you get them but i'm sure if you look you can find them- probly even at autozone or something for like $5. it looks cleaner than the hose too, especially if you're trying to hide wires and hoses. here's a picture of mine

btw: the washer line mod looks good, i'm gonna have to do that.

yeah it looks clean but it's given me nothing but problems. the compression in cylander 3 is very low and it's consuming oil and coolant.

putting in a gsr longblock in three weeks and parting out the b16

That's not the line I'm talking about. I have the holes for the line from the valve cover and for the IATS, but 99-00 models have a 3rd tube (vaccum line) that 96-98 models don't have. It sucks in air and I can't just leave it hanging in the engine bay or else it'll suck in dirt and crap.

really? on my 00 dx i only had a hose to from the intake to the head... i have a vac leak somewhere? where's the other line you're talking about.

Yea...my 2000 LX is the same way. Only one line going from the valve cover to the intake pipe. Theres a air sensor on the backside of it, but thats the only 2 lines I have comming from my intake tube....there IS another hole for another line...but its pluged....Maybe the Y8's have an extra sensor for Vtec that the Y7's done have....?

Actually, I think it is just the EX's then. I always figured all the models had it cuz I did . Oh well .

But yeah I still need a 3rd hole drilled for that 3rd extra vacuum line. Otherwise, I'm not using the intake til then.
