i sell sirius at work, so i listen to it all day, its pretty good. I would probably get it if my deck wasnt XM ready. since my deck is XM ready ill probably be getting XM down the road cause i dont want an extra piece to control my radio, i'd rather control it through the deck.

hahah sweeeet! I was leaning toward Sirius cuz they dont have censor their music chanels
i don't think xm censors either. i just downloaded a recording of opie&anthony's comeback show (first show (since they were put off the air).. and it's not censored at all. they were discussing things the fcc had fined and forbidden them, as well as doing those very things. so, if they're doing the same ol' show they were when they started, then there probably isn't censoring.

I have XM and I like it a lot. Great reception, great channels, unedited music, no commercials, sweet live DJ's, Phil Hendrie Show, ESPN channels, lot of good music.

DJ Paul and Juicy J from 36mafia are DJs on XM radio

I wonder if it will work in mexico?

i woudln't get any, but if i were to get one, it would have to be based on which one had the shows i listen to and the "selective variety" i seek.

so far XM is winning since they have opie&anthony. now let's see who gets bob&tom.

broadcasted and syndicated, yes... but censored. it's nearly as fun as listening to fcc-regulated opie&anthony or howard.

Sirius has way more channels and much better music than XM, IMO

Just from looking at their websites (Siruis and XM Radio) I have gathered the following. XM costs $9.99 per month and Sirius costs $12.95 per month (when you sign up for month by months plans). Neither supplier censors their channels and both offer portable versions of their players to be used both in the car and in the home. XM has 68 channels and Sirius has over 120 channels. Can't tell you about the qaulity though (although on XM's site you can listen to a sample of each channel). Both offer small square black box style antennas (XM has a micro antenna which is pretty small); perhaps an aftermarket company supplies a hidden antenna that is compatable with either of these services?

Also, from RadioDailyNews.com:
"As I am writing these words on my computer, I am listening to the "60’s Vibrations" on Sirius Channel 6 via the Internet, through my stereo computer speakers. It’s a "bonus" at no extra cost for Sirius subscribers. You’re provided with a username and password and can listen to the same music channels that you hear on your Sirius radio receiver through the Internet via your computer’s soundcard -- at no extra cost.
XM has introduced a similar method of listening to satellite radio on computers with their XMPCR unit. It’s $69 and requires a subscription fee of $9.99 if you’re not already a subscriber or just $6.99 with the XM "Family Plan.""
