I hate leaves, ever since I found that nest in my engine bay.

Clean whip yo. How you liking the fnf? How they ride??
I love them, They are stiff enough to handle a good drop and improve the handling but not enough to kill you on normal bumps and stuff. Its my first set of coils so I have nothing to compare to but OEM lol.

I'd definitely recommend them though! Super easy install--no spring compressors or anything

No big updates from the weekend... I put back the interior today, and have got the temperature control for the ac/heater working again! It hasn't worked from the day I got the car... It seemed like someone had kicked the motor in the passenger footwell and snapped it off before.

On another note, going to Cedar Point in ohio with my buddy tomorrow. Should be a good time :thumbs up

I love that theme park. I swear I think of hoping in my car and taking that 11 hour drive every weekend.

Damn 11 hours, thats crazy! How many times have you gone there then? I had a 4 hour drive and it felt so long on the way back home lol. It was really busy yesterday, and every ride kept breaking down on us.. so it was an alright time.

On the way home I had a fuse blow, and my dash lights stopped working about 2 hours into the drive home. I had one of those harbor freight LED flashlights in the glovebox and that worked as the cluster lights til I got back lol.

Fuse 30 had blown I figured ou, so I gotta replace that today.

Yea 11 hours from New haven Connecticut to Sandusky Ohio. My favorite ride there is the big blue coaster with the 300ft drop.

Same for me, my garage smells like a tire shop lol. But not just new tires, I got my first set of wheels! I ordered them from discount tire direct and saved a bunch of money and tax then if I went through the store in town.

I'm definitely happy with them for the most part

Only thing I'm disappointed in, some of them have alot of weights... I painted them white this afternoon.

I set them out in front of it to see what they might look like, there's alot of poke like this lol

Going to wax them up this weekend to make them easier to clean in the future.

Well, like 4 years ago, I had painted the brake calipers red with just a old can of paint I had laying around...needless to say it looked like crap now and red is lame.

I couldn't have that showing through the rims, so I ground them down as much I could and painted them with some high temp primer & black caliper paint.

Still rusty, but buch cleaner now I think...

I have to grind the rust off the drums in the back (I never painted them before), and am doing the same black there tomorrow.

As of yet, the new wheels haven't been on lol.

I was debating throwing some black on my calipers when I do my brake job in a few weeks, but i just don't want to have to remove them to clean them!

Thanks guys, I appreciate it, I'm having fun just keeping busy working on it day to day. Luckily I havent run into any major problems lately.

Yeah, it's a bit involved just to do something cosmetic, but totally worth it if your calipers are in rough shape. I think they look 10x better painted up instead of rusty.

Today I finished up the prep work on the brakes for the wheels today, and put the new set on. I've got a lot of pictures to post, but I'm pretty tired tonight, so I'll upload them in the afternoon.

BTW what was the total cost for the new wheels and tires shipped

I got everything for $821 with free UPS shipping. I kinda cheaped out with the Kumho Ecsta's, but they're plenty good enough and have a high enough tread rating for me to drive one season a year on I think.

Well I couldnt remember what the drums looked like when I had changed the shoes last summer, but they were absolute s**t. I didnt even try to grind them down, so I went to Advance Auto and bought a new set for 38 bucks!

Just the basic, OEM equivalent replacements:

Painted them up to match the front and primarily prevent rusting for a bit:

I was pretty content with the brake/wheel well prep work, so I put some antiseize on the hubs and decided to put the new wheels on:

Fronts on:

All set!

Packed in with my brothers Jeep and my parents cars lol:

I havent driven anywhere with the new setup, but Im debating if I need to roll my fenders a bit or not:

Overall though, I'm very happy with the new wheels! It doesn't even look like my car anymore lol, Im so used to seeing it on hubcaps.

Looks good :thumbs up. You don't need to roll your fenders. You're hardly that low :P. I can't fit my finger between the tire/fender on both rear wheels and I don't have any rubbing issues. Just barely clears when the suspension is compressed.
