You push it back when you advance your timing, to retard it, move it towards the front of your car! Without turning the rotor inside,by pushing the distributor all the way forward, you'll retard it about 2-3 degrees, but you should really use a timing gun.

Just so you know, I did hit that time once, the rest of my runs are between 15.7 and 15.9. A lot of people of this forum saw me hit those times. I couldn't believe it either when I ran it! But, what do you know, you're a noob! lol
I run the zex kit with a 55 shot in my B16A2. With a 55 shot youll need new plugs, NOT platinum!!!!11, and youll eventually need a clutch. How many people learned how to drive a stick in your car? My clutch lasted 2 sprays, then slipped all over the place. To run higher than that (55) youll need to get a fuel pressure reg and retard your timing 2-4 degrees (not 10) depending on your individual motor. I would suggest the MSD 6BTM for the timing, you can just retard yourself with a knob in the cabin. DONT engange that switch before you start racing either. Youll floor it in 1st and ruin your engine, Ive seen it happen.
