I can't remember what day I'm on but let's just say it's DAY 11/12 lol.

So all the paint is down on the trunk setup, and everything is put together. All that's left is to get the wiring done. The plans for tomorrow are to get the rear speaker pods permenantly mounted to the plastic panels, and apply touch up paint here and there. I will hopefully be hearing some sound tomorrow (Crossing fingers). I will post pics once installed and hope to have started the front speaker pods within a month. Some pictures to hold you over:

man I need to get to work on my setup, i've got 10 yards of chop mat in my closet crying out to me. Too bad it's cold as balls out and I don't have a garage.

nice work though.

that's all some good s**t, don't like the speaker design, looks kinda cluttered and akward...

but this may actually motivate me to try some stuff out, i always wondered what would be cheap and work best for a stretch material, looks like the speaker mesh stuff worked out well

So I broke out the camera tonight... sorry for the poor quality since it's night out. I haven't had the chance to put the rear seats back in yet, hence the striped sheet to keep away from prying eyes. More pics in the future once I have the front CDT 3way set with upstage!

Not so stealth lol:

y0....did u ever finish it?
Everything is currently stripped from the car, with no interior. I sent the car for paint yesterday, should be back next week. As for finishing it, yes and no. I got fed up with the pods firing at my back and not having a front stage. So i pulled the speakers from the back and stuck them up front, only to realise the tweeters were damaged during dissassembly. I then picked up replacement tweeters from a buddy of mine, who I'm currently doing FG work for in his Subaru WRX STI. (I've been driving this around the past couple of days, and the looks I'm getting... This car is a fawking beast!!!) Anyhow, I had the new speakers up front with 150wrms each... They are sooo loud it's ridiculous, and no distortion! After listening to this setup for a little while I decided to change the whole setup again. So yes, that whole FG trunk that I put over 100 hours into is going in the garbage.lol

The new plan is a CDT audio 3-way set up front with upstage. (2 Tweeters in the a pillars, 2 tweeters in FG kickpanel pods with 2 4" mids, and 2 6.5" woofers in the doors) x2 8" subs for rear fill, and everything stealth this time around. I am also, considering fiber glassing the 12" into the spare tire well. I will keep you posted as the project continues when the car get's back.

Here are pictures of the STI work I'm doing to hold you over.

These are the backs of the kickpanel pods I made yesterday:

These are the pods nearly finished up today, I'm just waiting on some faux carbon fiber vinyl to cover them:

This is the center console I FG'd to hold the amp control for the kicker amps and the brain for the DEFI gauges he has:

would u sell it to me instead of throwing it away?
Damnit! Why did i have to read your post so late lol! It's been thrown out for about 2 weeks now...

I still have the rear pods though if you want those... they just need a little TLC (New paint)

The start of a new project... Project stealth!!! I will post pics regularly and try to keep you guys updated

I decided on the 2-way set instead of the 3-way just because i wanted to have some footspace, car audio is always compromise lol. The doors are already deadened with eDead so i'm safe on that. There is a set of CDT audio ES-62's in the doors with silk tweeters, and they are aimed at each opposing listeners face. The door rings are made of 3/4" mdf and built up on 3-layers, fiberglass was then used to fill the gaps between the mdf and the door panel. A little bondoglass and sanding, and vinyl stretched over and voila! There are also titanium imaging tweeters in the A-pillars for the upstage kit, I got these with a 500 series crossover for maximum adjustability. Big thanks to "RossWRX" on montrealracing.com for the CDT audio products. More to come...

The mockup, pre-wiring:

Wired up along with my jdm power folding mirrors... just gotta clean it up:

Driver side completed, just gotta wire these up to the imaging tweeters on the A-pillars:

That's it for today, starting to rain again sigh....
