build it CORRECTLY and its perfectly fine. its just like any other motor, if not done right it will take a s**t on you. its not that hard to do it right.

Reason why ls blocks take shits when it's a ls/vtec is because the rotating assembly isn't balanced that great. The rods are not balanced into spec with each other. There isn't a block girdle and no oil squirters. The main thing though is not being balanced. At higher rpms all the extra vibration in the rotating assembly can cause major boo boo's.

I shifted my ls/vtec at 7800rpm, but I have known others to take it to 8500rpm.

Get better rods, and forged pistons, have it balanced and blue printed then you are straight.

the best way to make a internally stock lsvtec work is to have the following

arp headstuds
arp rod bolts
gsr girlde/windage tray/pickup tube/main cap bolts/oilpan
golden eagle lsvtec kit

thats it. oil squirters arent really needed, especially with forged pistons.

BUT, this sounds like he already has a lsvtec and this thread is about a turbo kit fitting.

that pretty much is my current setup. i have the rev limiter set at 8200 rpm, though i rarely take it past 7500. the greddy kit should bolt up perfect. invest in some good tuning and reinforce the block with headstuds and rod bolts and it should be golden
