to be honest, never looked into it and have no clue what it costs. however i prefer to deter thieves before they can even get it out of the parking spot

i have removeable steering wheel and had it for a while, i have a NRG short hub, ebay quick release and ebay steering wheel but in my experience.... the steering wheel is not strong and always a possibility of the release failing to lock in.... it didn't break for me but from my experience all i can say is go wit all good stuff.... such as nrg short hub and the quick release and steering wheel of a reputable brand

as the previous poster stated and someone else stated in this thread, please don't buy ebay crap for your steering component. you use it to control the car, so get something solid. cutting shortcuts and being cheap on important parts like that will get you killed. i have an NRG quick release and NRG v2 hub, and it's the same as the stock distance. so it doesn't stick out any further.

yea also mine sticks out alil farther than stock but not that bad... and as for a horn... you have to figure out how to hook up the horn since the horn pigtail is all part of the SRS pigtail.... i haven't done it yet for mine so no horn for me.... just a thought that i should add in

i saw in previous posts you said u dont wanna buy the lock. just think, a theif knows most about their target and what they are steeling. what if a thief was watching over ur car and knew u had a quick release. basically they can bring a spare steering wheel with them and still take ur car. even with a quick release and a lock. ur risking ur life by deleting ur airbags only to forget the fact that if a theif doesnt wanna go through the headaches and wants ur car badly. they will just tow ur car away =(

the point is to slow a thief make it harder not stop them. u can never stop them.

but towing a civic out sure makes a thief think twice about it.
