So I got back on some "Ripped Fuel: fat burner," to shave off some weight. Popped 2 pills, as required, and jogged 2 miles on the track. Don't you hate it when you get that bad come down when you have extra+++ energy, but tired as f**k?

Body feeling funny, kind of like a bad come down off coke. =/

I use to do that too., but I did cardio and lifting everyday and lost 40lbs. Gotta work on loosing my winter weight now, hope to back under 160 with muscle instead of fat. Hardest part is keeping the weight off, keep it up.

I didn't gain any weight over the holidays...anyway, it took me all my courage to post this, but here it is...the transformation

(..taken from my main forum)

First I just want to say thanks to Dennis, Egg, Alex, Pete and anyone else who gave me tips in the fitness thread. Its been a long frustrating road but it was worth it. I still have some areas I've got to work in (Read: tone up and lower abs) but for the most part I'm pretty happy.

Me at my worst point....222lbs of fatness...that was my weight as of Jan 1, 2007

This is me in July (I think)...205lbs

And this is me now, Jan 7, 2008

Beginning weight: 222lbs
End Weight: 167.6lbs

Total lost: 54.4 lbs
I don't want to go above 170 and like I said, my goal this year is to tone up and get some abs. Sorry for the nasty pics but this was something I had to do even if I quadruple guessed myself...I'm very self conscious. Again thanks to all those who helped me through this.

nicely done....seems like you have good discipline...and your at a good weight, now if you want to tone, and get abs, go to your local book store, buy "The Abs Diet" (by David Z. from mens health magazine), and follow what he says....you SHOULD see your abs in a couple months :thumbs up

Great job on the weight loss!

i recommend LL Cool J's Platinum Workout.. it's a pretty good book for dieting, toning, muscle gain, and healthy life. (note- its expensive, just go to barnes and noble to read it ;P)

start eating more regularly...skipping food in the morning, and ending the day in a big meal, is actually helping you GAIN weight...they call it breakfast for a reason, you are BREAKING the FAST of not eating over night...your body needs food to kickstart its metabolism....by skipping breakfast every morning and waiting until lunch, your are training your body to know that it wont get any food in the morning, so it starts to go into fat storage mode....eat a bowl of oatmeal and have a glass of skim milk, get your metabolism kick started...

http://www.iwantsixpackabs.com

that guys website has a list of foods your going to want to eat, and when your going to want to eat them (smaller meals, spread out throughout the day, every 3 hours or so)

basically, he is following the Abs Diet book (which i own, have read, and have used, and it works) only he made a video journal to let people watch/follow along...he also has a section for workouts, routines, etc...its worth looking into...contrary to popular belief, you dont need to go to the gym for hours at a time, monday thru friday...

a PROPPER 20 minute workout, M/W/F, will work wonders....

and dont listen to the guy that said to run for 3 miles a day, every day, for 3 months....on the days you arent working out (T/Th/Sat for example) start by warming up, then jog for a couple minutes, then sprint for a minute or two, then slow back down to a jog, then sprint again for a minute or too, then back down to a jog, then a cool down (check that website, he explains it in more detail)

that should help you get started :thumbs up

=X i forgot to mention, the cardio exercise works best when you eat properly like stated above, sorry i forgot to mention ;)

and let me add, running at a track or pretty much outside will work better than treadmills, bicycles, etc.. you get the most physical workout with alot of your body, and you aslo get the fresh air that you really need.

*now if your really determined, heres a routine that works for me everytime.

- weight lose routine
eat light meals, breakfast being one of the biggest, throughout the day

breakfast
brunch
lunch
snack
dinner

i ran at the school track, 8 laps = about 2 miles = about 45 minutes
- started on the inside lane and moved to the next outer lane every lap
- jog the straights, power walk the curves

i use to do this m/w/f for about 2 1/2 - 3 months.. before i was 215lbs of glob, dropped to 185lbs = lost 30lbs

i recommend this because its worked on myself, AND many others that ive helped coach through their weight lose..

*right now, i dont follow this routine anymore, i have more of a muscle mass work out going on, BUT i still run tuesdays and thursdays. this will help keep the fat off of me while i gain muscle mass.

Good luck with all the advice you take in, and losing that weight!

looking at that guys website, made me re-check some things in the abs diet book...anyways, started following it again at the beginning of the week (tuesday to be exact) and have already dropped 4 pounds...i usually fluxuate, but only by a pound or two...

see if i can stay with it long enough to make a noticable difference
