WTF................................. JB Weld mixed with salt....................holy s**t. Who thinks up this s**t. and as for the girdle, it may break and it may not.
especially in an engine block .... if that s**t didnt hold together on my cracked dc ceramic header its not gonna be good in the block which is gonna be even hotter

yea its got a basemap so ill just run that until i can get a full tune......he said it should be running rich which shouldnt hurt it...

your friend is a moron. running rich on a brand new motor is sure to cause that engines demise prematurely.

Again, i'm just gonna ask you to THINK about this. If you still believe your friend, i'll get you some literature to read up on. You should do more research then believing some of these people that you look to for information...

Your Air/Fuels are CRITICAL on the engines initial start-up. The rings life will be determined in the first 3 minutes of running.

hmm...should i just disconnect a pipe on the intercooler....and then just run the stock ecu on stock fuel injectors, sparkplugs, and map sensor to break in the motor.....but i also am changing the CR lower to like 8:5:1 so....???

yea, changing the compression is going to affect it. It would also be important to run an O2 sensor if you used the stock ECU. Find a local tuner and see if you can get him to come by for start-up, or see about meeting him shortly after the initial start-up. Don't wait to get the Air/Fuels dialed down...

thats the part im f**ked on is there is no local tuner here....i live in a small town in missouri about an hour away from a big city.....im using an hf mani so i can just stick the o2 in there....

my friend did that took the charge pipe off and broke it in on motor
yea, thats not a bad idea. but it doesnt hurt to break a built motor in with the turbo hooked up either... its probably better to break a motor in under the load it'll be under the rest of its life. I'm sure its easier to be sure of proper break in with no boost though.

But the important thing is the Air/Fuels...

im honestly gonna have no way to change the air/fuel though.....im just running a basemap man thats all i can do....either that or run it stock for a lil bit.....

hmmm...good info.....but the engine will have a semi-tune.....i do trust this guy....i mean hes running 13psi on his stock 300,000 mile d16 motor.....plus ive talked to a guy that got a basemap from my friend and ran 11's on a dohc zc with nitrous......im not too worried about the tune....he told me the timing is wayyyy safe for the dohc zc.....

those random shots look exactly the same as all your other random shot photo shoots, since the car cant go anywhere there is no reason to keep on taking pictures of the same thing. does look a little better without so many stickers tho.
