you are slightly incorrect about one thing, and this is another good point that I am making. They DON'T cost more. you were right about everything else though =)
Well, I didn't see this guy buying an exedy one, I was thinking like some ebay XTD brand or something.

aluminum = road/autox racer
steel = drag racer

i plan on drag/street racing this car so steel is a good choice for me....

im not saying steel is better than aluminum anymore so dont go tryin to put words in my mouth....its honestly on how the car is going to be driven....

one thing i want to note about that site. is that they are not discussing the same type of flywheels we are. The aluminum flywheels for mustangs weigh 60% less then the stock ones. the steel ones only weigh a few pounds less then stock. There is a huge difference in weight. for a higher displacement engine drag racing a real light flywheel wont help as much as it would with a smaller, less powerful car (going just as fast :twisted:). For an example of what i'm talkin about, why would the mustang guys say that a steel (heavier) flywheel is best for Drag Racing, but your buddies over at the miata forum clearly agree that "your car will accelerate noticeably faster(especially in the lower gears) with an aluminum flywheel?"*

What weight is that steel flywheel you got? is very close in weight to the Fidanza counterpart isn't it?

This is getting interesting...

Lots of weird opinions being thrown about as facts, but a lot of helpful info for the guy even if it is hard to admit that he may be wrong.

the way u try to "prove" me wrong is wrong though. your sources for information are poor. thats my point. forums arent that great for information sometimes.
