not all intercoolers tho. ive seen intercoolers with fogs. i just didn't want to cut off my bumper support so the fmic went directly under it. ive just been saving up to repaint and came to the conclusion i want my oem fb look with fogs back.

i had a ic, with my fogs....

what i did was....just put alot of spacers in between the FMIC and the bumper support to lower the ic, so it went under the fog brackets...

you have to find an intercooler that has its end tanks on either the top or the bottom of the intercooler. ones where the end tanks are in the middle wont allow you to keep your fogs

what this guy said =)

find an intercooler that has the end tanks that are not in the middle, and you can mount it with the end tanks at the top and run custom piping or the other way around

that gen fogs are alot smaller than the 6th gens. i guess the best way to go about this is put the fogs in and place the bumper on, then once the car is lifted look at the pipe routes and fmic placement to make sure. if im able to do it, ill defiinitly post a how to.

i don't think I've ever seen a boosted 96-98 w/fogs. I could be wrong tho...it's just the placement for the fogs are right where the intercooler is...

im sure with the backdoor type of intercooler the 96-98 can keep the fogs and run the intercooler just fine
