I found mine easy to replace when them bastards got into mine.Did they break the radio/climate control bezel? I found it was difficult to find a replacement that didn't have the vents broken out of it.
Replacing it WAS easy.I found mine easy to replace when them bastards got into mine.
OP: What type of wheel locks did you have?
I didn't have wheel locks... Something I should of gotten, but like others said it probably wouldn't have stopped them.I found mine easy to replace when them bastards got into mine.

Ahh, should of contacted Evan, He was able to hook me with something.Replacing it WAS easy.
When I looked for a used one (locally, online, eBay, etc.) for a decent price I continually found they had the top vents broken out of the assembly.
I'd say it's more traumatizing to see your car like his. The fact that someone else was in your car, got in but didn't take it, whats going to stop them if they do it again?I'd say it's a bit more traumatizing to walk out and not see you car at all, not knowing if you'll ever see it or if you do what kind of condition it will be in.
You're lucky they fingerprinted it. They wouldn't deal with mine, but they finger printed Jason's when it was broken into and left in the road.

I guess I got the best of both worlds then.I'd say it's more traumatizing to see your car like his. The fact that someone else was in your car, got in but didn't take it, whats going to stop them if they do it again?
Thats true. when my first hatch was stolen. popo's found it wrecked in a different city. When I went to see/grab whatever belongings I had in there. I busted into tears. Tow guy said that the guy hit a tree and and just ditched it there. the front support beam was all the way under the car. bumper wasnt there, radiator was smashed into s**t and the header was smashed into the head/block, hood was basically ripped off. To be honest. I honestly do know how how that bastard survived a crash like that.I guess I got the best of both worlds then.
Granted that if I look out the window and I see my car is GONE, I can assume some stranger was in my car and that it could happen again still. Only at the moment I also have no idea if I'm going to get my car back, if it's gone headfirst into a wall on the interstate, if it's been torched, if it's being cut into pieces as I call the police.
Basically if the car is gone I could end up finding it exactly as he found his in the parking lot, only I had the added stress before of having no idea what happened to it.
I would have much rather woken up to my car with no wheels than my parking space with no car.
