Nice writeup and good job. Not too sure about the black on tan though. Especially the A-pillars.

yeah, the fabric store i went to didn't have a tan color to match the interior. I was able to find tan suede but I didn't think it looked good. I kind of like the black. I will eventually customize my interior black and green.

Thanks again for all the comments.

kaace, I wanted to do the exact same things for my tweeters, but I didn't want to mess with my stock a-pillar and I was unable to find a pair of tan ones from another civic... so I decided attempt a fiberglass mold... clearly it didn't turn out the greatest, but hopefully it'll look better once i cover them with leather like the speaker pods.
practice makes perfect...what you saw was my second attempt...the first ones i tried came out ugly...but after i committed to hacking up the a-pillars they came out just like i wanted them...

search the net and get ideas from other people...see what they tried...i ended up going to dollar store (greatest place on earth by the way) and buying some cheap nylons and stretched that over the tweeter cup i fabricated and mounted on the a-pillar...then glassed over that...i have a DIY i need to get posted up...

keep on working and trying different things...dont be afraid...its just your car

Glad to see Im notthe only one rocking SR's I wentfor more of a stealth install. IAfter trimming a good portion of the door pannel and using speaker baffels I was able to squeeze them in. I also had to trim the OEM tweeter pod, but I was able to perfectly fit the SR tweeter. Hope you enjoy them!

The new set up on the doors is great! The old set up stuck out too much and didnt look that nice lol.

The tweeter set up is nice too! Cant wait to see ti sanded down a bit more and painted.

I bought some tweeters at work. I took off the stick to adjust my mirrors and I double sided tape'd them to that spot. I like the way they sound and im hoping I find some tweeters later on!

Thanks for the comments, guys. Unfortunately I've stated school again a few weeks ago and I probably won't get the tweeter mounts done properly for some time (I kept delaying it).

Thanks man. Likewise, its good to see another member representing Polk's sr line. I'm desperately in need of a processor to tune them well, but that'll have to wait. Its not like they sound bad or anything - I just get a bit irritated when its not exactly how i want it.

Yeah, I agree. This was my first time doing fiberglass panels which is prolly why I didn't do a good job. Thanks for the link. Do I have to register to view the posts? Every fourm I open says that there are no topics/posts ??
