practice makes perfect...what you saw was my second attempt...the first ones i tried came out ugly...but after i committed to hacking up the a-pillars they came out just like i wanted them...Thanks again for all the comments.
kaace, I wanted to do the exact same things for my tweeters, but I didn't want to mess with my stock a-pillar and I was unable to find a pair of tan ones from another civic... so I decided attempt a fiberglass mold... clearly it didn't turn out the greatest, but hopefully it'll look better once i cover them with leather like the speaker pods.
Thanks man. Likewise, its good to see another member representing Polk's sr line. I'm desperately in need of a processor to tune them well, but that'll have to wait. Its not like they sound bad or anything - I just get a bit irritated when its not exactly how i want it.Glad to see Im notthe only one rocking SR's I wentfor more of a stealth install. IAfter trimming a good portion of the door pannel and using speaker baffels I was able to squeeze them in. I also had to trim the OEM tweeter pod, but I was able to perfectly fit the SR tweeter. Hope you enjoy them!
Yeah, I agree. This was my first time doing fiberglass panels which is prolly why I didn't do a good job. Thanks for the link. Do I have to register to view the posts? Every fourm I open says that there are no topics/posts ??not bad. execution could have been a little better. take a look at fiberglassforums.com they have some wicked stuff you can learn from
