It looks like ass in photos but in real life? The leather looks good and works against the black.

I actually dig the leather as it dosent show all the dirt, filth, spilled sodas, dog messes etc..etc..

Plus it smells good as fvck!!

Radar detectors don't work all the time. Hell, they barely work any of the time. They keep coming up with new technology for the radars. The detectors only work if they are using older technology or if you are keeping up the the new ones every short period of time.

Valintine ones are update-able. Any time an upgrade comes out they let you know and you can update it to the new tech. Thats what i have and the only time i have ever gotten a speeding ticket was when i didnt have it in my car. i was going 7 over in a 70 zone... oops. And btw i have never gone by a cop that was clocking people on the side of the road with laser or radar or anything else that i know of where it didnt go off. Its pretty faithful and it has saved my butt many many many times. Just saying.

The stereo is bone stock....

Any good ideas on what would be a price effective route there?

IE: Should I run the stock head unit and do some good speakers that fit where the OEM's are combined with an amp and a sub?

You can get a Kenwood headunit, and door speakers and rear speakers for less than $250. The door speakers and rear speakers are the same size. If you're just running them then the head unit will put enough power to them. If you do decide to get an amp and subs just run the subs off the amp.

the best customer service and the prices are pretty reasonable for the excellent quality of the items..

and getting a new deck with speakers is just going to make it sound really crisp...definitely something to think about..

Oddly enough after looking at many very molestered cars this one was molested just right and molestered with class. I much prefered the level of molestation on this car Vs' the others I looked at. It has all the right stuff and it was professionally done.

Made my kid wax every inch!!

I want to plug in another possibility for stereo. I know a LOT of people are skittish when it comes to eBay, but if you know where to look and where not to it can be a great place. I picked up my kenwood flip out screen deck on there for $300 shipped and it is in VERY good shape. The guy that I picked it up from owns a stereo shop and the new units had just comec out. He had this one in his personal rig and wanted to throw one of the new units in it instead. I got a smoking deal and he even threw in a brand new ipod integration cable, a custom harness that he put together for my civic, a hd radio tuner, and a phone blue tooth hands free kit to run the phone through the stereo.

You could also search around on craigslist.

I have Kenwood speakers in my car and I love em. Haven't had a problem with them and they sound great to me.

The 7th gens just do not offer the aftermarket support if he does happen to get bit by the bug and wants to go all out with something. 92-00 models are a lot easier to 'hop up' and there is a ton more available parts for them.

with a 7th gen (01-04) your pretty much limited to 1 type of motor swap option, and the suspension support just isnt there.
