For those who celebrate,

anyone have their Christmas tree up yet?

I bought a 6' Canadian Fir yesterday at Target. My gf decorated it really nice! :D

^^ I'm getting mien outta storage soon i think

well, i talked to luke at tire rack (dude's a f'n tire expert) and he recommended the x-ice due to the huge amounts of lake effect snow that i need to drive through every week. it's swamped at tirerack right now. not looking forward to sitting in their lobby for a couple of hours :\
Yeah Luke is the s**t,

He has a black 911 there,

BTW you should order yours online so you don't have to wait...

i couldn't order for local pickup online. it's okay, luke already put my order in and all. they are super swamped though, as in lots of ppl getting new tires fitted, so i'd still have to queue up, even if my order's already in the system. they won't do any actual processing until i show up at the front desk, i don't think...

a little extra sidewall doesn't hurt, but i'm getting mine in the same size as oem.

ugh, $715.76 w/ steelies (tax incl.)

Anfrey, if you're gettting stealies why not go -1 w/smaller width? it'll likely save you $ and will be better in the snow...

x2

The differences between winter tires are not as extreme as some make it to be. The differences between snow tires are subtle. I'll be using Nitto NTs which arent the most expensive but they'll def do the trick...bridgestone blizzaks over michelin X-ice, hankook ice bear over pirelli scorpions, dunlop wintersports over nokian hakkas, its all gibberish imo

no in snow the smaller the better

smaller contact patch = more of the cars weight psi to the road.

i thought about 15s, but they won't clear my brakes. as for narrower tires, i didn't really consider that

jay: blue = not as much visible spectrum. lights that light up the road well > lights that look cool
