The last thing you do to a cop is ADMIT that you did something wrong. Have them tell you. I got nabbed on my bike on the gun at 129 in a 45 and kept going in the opposite direction as i passed an oncomming cop. Parked my bike in the garage (I was 2 miles from my house when I met him). About a 1/2 hour later a sherrif came and asked me questions. I said it wasn't me and they had no way to prove it. NEVER admit to a violation
Well this is the dumbest thing I've heard since 2009.

OP: You'l prob have to pay a mandatory surcharge. Not sure how that works in PA though. In MA.. there's nothing =)
In NY.. its like $80 or some BS... plus the cost of the fine obviously

actually d16racer... you hiring a lawyer has me perplexed like none other... hired a lawyer to pay a fine.. what the hell did the lawyer do then?
Keep points off his insurance and license.

OP, you should be ok. Just call the DA's office to see if the ticket will affect your license/insurance. If not, then you'll be ok.

Well the whole thing happened in NY so odds are I will have to pay that fee. And the cop did say that as he wasn't writing it for speeding I wouldn't e getting any points or anything so I hope he was telling the truth there...Another part of good news that I think saved me is I was driving my celica and not the civic.

Good job for owning up to your mistake. You'll just get a fine, nothing more.

wow. just wow. typically if you don't play dumb with a cop they'll respect you enough to either lower the fine, or drop it altogether and give you a warning. I've had like half a dozen warnings given to me just by being nice to the cops. f**k, i even got a date with a deputy sheriff cuz i was mr. charming
too bad they didnt catch you....the op is obviously more of a man than you

I assuming you paid a fine when you mailed in your ticket? usually you pay the money, and mail in saying you was guilty... the fine is your punishment...

paying a lawyer to not pay a fine sounds stupid to me... especially if you hire a lawyer and pay the fines.. im not sure what the hell you accomplished there...

your not getting points on your record hiring a lawyer makes no difference.

the reason i said hire a lawyer is because when i got a ticket myself it was either go to court and have points against me and most likely take a class or pay a lawyer to find a way to reduce the penalty. Since mine was 70 in a 45 that was considered a misdomeanor or somethin like that. basically it was a felony from what i remembered being told. so if i had shown up at court without a lawyer they would have laid whatever penalty possible on me. by hiring the lawyer i still dont have any points on my license (and trying to keep it that way). since the op was going 63 or whatever thats also 15 over so i was throwing in my input for what helped me not get any points or having to take a class. plus the lawyer was only 175 (which was really really cheap) and my ticket was 145.

the last thing I would do to a cop is admit to going almost 3 times the posted speed limit. In my area all cops are f**kin douche bags, very very few cool ones. And everyone who hates on me for that, clearly hasn't ever been on a crotch rocket on a curvy road. I've ridden over 40k miles in the last 3 years on sportbikes, even hit Tail of the Dragon in NC, Myrtle Beach bike week for the last 3 years in a row, and Loudon NH track days. Its not like im some punkass that doesnt know how to ride.

OP, If you go to the District Attorney they look at your record and may reduce the fine. Happened with my last 2 wheelie tickets, got out of a $137 fine to 75 bucks each time.

I would be a douche bag to you to if I was a cop.

You seem to think you're bragging about having a sport bike and doing wheelies, getting tickets for it and doing 150 on a highway. You keep on digging yourself a hole on why you're an idiot.

Go away.

You only live once. Why be a pussy?
I'm not being a pussy, I'm being what you call a mature adult. You're acting like a 16 year old wanna be gangster. I hope you crash, and get seriously injured and find to be at fault so you can't win any kind of money, maybe then you'll be mature.

Karma is one of the many beautiful things about life. let him brag about his wheelie tickets. He got caught in the first place which doesn't speak too highly of his intelligence. Some things are just better off left alone.

I dig the b18 though.
