so ya i just got in an accident. was showin my friend my car and drove thru beechwood and this dog was in the middle of the road so i slammed on my brakes and spun out (their roads are completely covered in dirt) and i slammed into someones mailbox.

tomorrow I am going to apologize and offer to pay for the damage. Then I am hittin the junk yard to try to find some parts... cheap..

i cracked my bumper and dented my fender.

ya man im good a little freaked but its ok... pretty big dent in the fender ill post pics tomorow prolly. bumper just has a small crack and the lip fell off a little lol. but its all right side damage. i really hope this wont kill my wallet. seems like everytime im bout to get some good money ... something bad happens lol.

When I took my drivers test it asked what to do if there was an animal in the road, the answer is to avoid it if it can be done safely. If you're going to slam on your breaks on a dirt road and spin out, just hit the god damn dog. I'm 16, work at little caesar's and my paychecks are like $275 every time.

You should've hit the dog if the road was unsafe enough for you to not keep control of the car if you were forced to slam on the brakes. I'm sorry for all you animal freaks out there but I'm gonna say it. If you're a dog owner, your dog shouldn't be in the road unless you're with it. Period. If it is, it's poorly trained and needs an electric fence or it needs to be tied to a chain.

Sucks to hear about the car. And back when I was in high school, I was lucky to get over $200 on a paycheck. It happened a few times a year, if that, even during the summer when I wasn't in school. Minimum wage was $6.15 back then and that's what I started at.

to everyone that said you should have hit the dog, do you really think that would have done no damage to the car? i'm sure most people would rather their mailbox get f**ked up than their child's pet get killed because it wasn't safe enough for the driver to hit the brakes

how fast were you going on the dirt road anyway to spin out in a civic? you shouldnt be doing more than like 15-20mph tops on a residential dirt road. at least you're man enough to own up to your mistake and offer to replace the mailbox. most people wouldnt. props to you for that, but slow the f**k down on dirt roads from now on. i live in the country and dirt roads are the regular - i know what it's like when you see people doing 40mph on your road and you know they couldnt stop in time if something unpredictable happened like that dog running in front of you. negligent people suck so don't be a statistic
