I dont know where to start modding. heres some info abt my car its a 00 ex blck auto with 92,000 miles (i really didnt wnt a automatic but i got a deal in this car) it has the d16y8. The only things that i have done to this car is a custom 2.5 catback with a n1 stlle muffler which has a 4.5 inch tip ( loud deep tone), and a aftermarket pioneer stereo. Please dont suggest a bodykit. Maybe a lip, foglights, grill, black housing headlights, new gauge cluster, si wheels, si wing, maybe a intake but not sure if its worth the money hp wise. im thinking about putting some more miles on the d16y8 and then in a year or two do a b16 or a b18 swap or just save up and turbo my d16y8 soon. this is my first car because i just turned 16.
if you could give me some links or just point me in the right directon it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
the pics below are my car =)

:welcome:Looks nice and clean to start from. And i really doubt anyone on here would suggest a bodykit(unless your screenname is "r34civic"). The parts you listed sound like you know where you want it to go. Do your own thing, just keep her clean. Scub the bay to compliment the rest of the car. You can probably find most of the parts you want in the F/S section.

thats why i said please dont suggest body kits lol cuz i saw his car and read that thread. im debating on doing a si clone or just spend that money to turbo the d16, and what ever else is left ile use it for the lip, wheels, lights, etc
do yall think a intake is worth it on a stock d16y8?

fogs, lip, side markers and si wheels would look good. same with an si wing and de-badge the "ex" and maybe "civic" as well. a nice drop would really compliment the car as well. also you could just remove your airbox and put a nice k&n drop-in filter in, instead of an intake. if you read up on how to paint your valve cover, that would really compliment your engine bay as well as the rest of your car if you had a colour scheme you were planning on going with (wrinkle red is always nice along with polished letters) and yeah cleaning the bay would look a lot nicer too. :D

are you leaning towards looks or going fast.. cuz going fast you are already behind with the auto.
you wont be able to go faster until u get a manual trans. the torque converters for the slushbox are s**t.

if you keep everything, i would just keep it clean and simple and just throw on some springs and new rollers. An intake and headers arent going to produce more than 5-7 hp.

Dont put money into anything at all save it all up for the swap, cuz you can make it 5speed while your at it.

Sand it all down to bare metal, prime it with a good primer, no cheap s**t. Do ike 2 coats of high heat primer, then 3-4 coats of high heat paint. I usually do a light sanding between each paint coat. then when your done sand the letters to make them stand out. Make sure you tape up holes.

Paint your calipers, clean the hell out of your engine bay, de-badge, DIY ctr headlights... theres writeups everywhere for that one.

It would look a lot better and cleaner if you took off the spoiler.
