so i was at a shop earlier today. they were offering both the motor & the regulator. but i think i need only the regulator, but im not too sure. how would i know if i need to replace the motor as well as the regulator?
Any spray can labeled Silicone Lubricant should be fine. I bought mine from Walmart.you can use any type of silicone lubricant? if not what type do i need to get??
so when i press the button, it tries to roll down, that means the motor works? meaning only the regulator should be replaced, right?does the motor try to run when you press the switch??? if it does then it doesnt need replacing. If it doesnt, then I would replace it
Spray some silicone lubricant into the rubber side channels where the window glass slides. That should do it.

Inside the rubber channels that hold the window.do i spray the lube inside or outside of the window? whats holding the window from working normally? is it the motor or something else?
I haven't had this problem. Maybe you sprayed too much lubricant or did not keep the spray confined to the rubber side channel. Just clean the window glass. The spray won't damage the tint.Sorry to threat but my passanger window always has a like oily/sticky streek would that be from the silicone?
1) The rubbers need lubricating which im going to look into but doesn't that mean that your window will get covered in greasy streaks?
See answer above.
2) If you attempt to alter anything within the door as described above in the service manual, how hard is it to actually see and physically do the work needed, to me when i took my panel off you had two holes to work with and they seem pretty small for tools to fit into etc...
The space is a bit confined but sufficient to get the work done.
Junk yard or compare dealer price with price at Majestic Honda (online OEM parts supplier).I have had a problem with my driver side window coming out of the track and ended up buying a new regulator, but this one isn't strong enough to lift the window back into place. It was off ebay and its completely useless. Besides going to the dealer what is the cheapest way to get a new working one?
Now I know why they charge so much at a shop. I wish I was mechanically inclined! My driver side window effed up today it wont roll all the way up. I had to pull it up and wedge a piece of paper to give it resistance from sliding back down. The window behind that one wont roll all the way down. So now im stuck with the drivers side windows as the only ones that work. Looks like Im goin to have to shell out some money.^^^Did you spray silicone lubricant into the rubber side channels? If so, try a glass adjustment (see diagrams). If that doesn't work, you may need to replace the window regulator.
Becoming mechanically inclined involves time investment and some tools. Pull your door panel off and inspect the regulator and window glass. You'll likely quickly see what the problem is and, in so doing, save some money. Now I know why they charge so much at a shop. I wish I was mechanically inclined! There are rubber side channels that guide movement of the window glass. Are they damaged? If not, do the adjustments detailed in the diagrams. So i have replaced the regulator in my driver's side 3 times i think now. What is happening is the windows is getting lodged and then jams sometimes, other times the window pops out of the exterior weather stripping and gets jammed. I don't want to tear the entire system out if i don't have to but i am getting seriously pissed off with this thing. Any suggestions??
