Garret turbos. Which one is better and what are the advantages and disadvantages?

That question is so broad and undetailed it can't even be answered.

There are several different T3/TO4E turbos with different options. Which one are you referring to?

OK, you've pointed out a 60 trim vs a GT3076...now what do you mean as far as "better". What are you looking to accomplish? What motor setup, what power goal? How significant is price to you? How important is rebuildability? Are secondary costs important (ie: the need to run -6AN water line costs?)

FWIW...I wouldn't really make a T3/T4 60 trim a 1st choice on any setup (personal opinion)

more information is needed on your set up. Your question is very vague

i was just wondering why he would not choose a 60 trim T3/T4OE. is it the performance he doesnt like or the setup its self.

it comes down to the amount of power your trying to make. Our race car turbo is a bullseye s372r. Dosent mean that its a good turbo to use on the street though

You missed where I said T3/T4 60 trim. Saying a "T3/T04E" in general covers a huge line of turbos.
A T3/T4 50 trim is an excellent turbo IMO...but that still boils down to exactly what your using it for and trying to accomplish.

I don't know what the setup is. In general, the T3/T4 60 trim wouldn't be my first choice because there are better options. Most people that pick that "60" basicly pick it because 60 is more than 57...no other reason. Cost is basically the same, why not get "more turbo" for the $$? They pick the turbo with the bigger trim number and larger peak hp capability #...when in most cases (dare I say every), isn't the best turbo for the setup.

I agree, i bought an ebay turbo and it was stamped 60/63 even tho it was a 42/48 , so i just bought the 60/63 when i got the garrett and i wish i got the 42/48 size again. nice spool and flow
