That is why i love civics. A lot lighter than 3000 pounds and 150 wheel horse power in a stripped out civic can fly by people in their fatass cars.
Fly by... You'd be lucky enough to beat a stock Mustang GT with that. LOL!

My car weighs a little over a ton with me in it, huge difference in weight to power ratio at that point. I just swapped a b18b1 into a little cx hatch and the thing f**kin scoots. Mustang gt makes cost an arm and a leg only to have a fatty to roll around in. I am only out a little over 2 grand so far car and swap, which ain't too bad considering i have double the power the car came with. What do stock mustang gt's run a 1/4 in roughly? Could they out handle a civic in twisties? Don't know anything about mustangs.

i ran a honda for years.. almost ten to be exact.. motor swaps... nitrous.. etc.. and it was really a fun car but just got out of it all in favor of a 5.0 mustang... its not "fast" by any means as its mostly stock (basic s**t headers, exhaust..).. but you can tell just when you drive the car that the potential to perform is really there.. when you mash the gas pedal on THIS car it is WAY different than the civic.. and a lot of people talk about power to weight ratio.. while that IS true.. the typical mustang 5.0 is really not much heavier than a civic.. a civic SI (1999) i think is like 2700lbs and a mustang is around 3100lbs roughly.. now you have to keep in mind that a mustang makes like 300 ft lbs of trq and over 200hp in STOCK form.. and rwd is nuts..

fast was my dad's '86 Shelby Charger... Stock 2.2 SOHC 8 valve engine running 8.30s in the 1/8th on a street tire.

70 mph kicks in this thing would result in wheel spin.

If he actually ran slicks it'd be a 11 second car in the quarter.
