how much did you pay for the tow truck? Or did you call insurance and lied that your car is broken? LOL...Cause thats what im planning on doing when I need to fab my down pipe too.

Downpipe, dumptube, and oil pan are done. So I went to turn on the car and the engine is being flooded wiith fuel and it wont start. Its getting spark so thats not the problem. Say I disconnect the injector harness, it starts up for about 3 seconds till it runs out of fuel then shuts off.
How do I go about diagnosing this? I tried connecting my OEM ECU and it does the same problem

DSM 440 black tops
Resistor box
P28 w/ T3/T4 base map

how do you have your injectors wired up?

try putting on your stock injectors to see if the problem is still there

I wanted to do that for last resort!!


I have the DSMs installed with the resistor box.


4 positive from harness going to ONE red wire on resistor box
4 wires from resistor box going to each injector.
Grounds untouched.

You stated that it has a t3/t4 base map correct?Is the base map scaled for 450 injectors? If its not that will cause you to dump alot of fuel.. i would also be cautious of your resistor box wiring being so close to the throttle blade.. It wouldnt be good to have your throttle stuck open! Looks good so far!

do you have a FPR installed? if so, check what your pressure is at.

just to make sure...

when you crank the motor you have spark and fuel, but its flooding the motor. How many cranks are you getting before it floods? is the timing correct?

The resistor box wiring will be adjusted.
do you have a FPR installed? if so, check what your pressure is at.
I dont have one installed. If I get an FPR can I lower fuel pressure and turn the car on?

I dont understand your question. It cranks then stops for a second as if it started just a tad bit then dies. If I disconnect the injector harness midway, it turns on like a champ for like $4 seconds.


Could the injectors be the problem? My brother has some DSM blue tops that hes not going to use till wednesday.

Were the injectors sitting for a while? Id say your best bet would be to try your brothers blue tops .. But as Got Traction said .. Make sure timing is correct..

Timing hasnt been adjusted since I installed the set up.

Im going to pick up an FPR tomorrow and see if that works.


Im f**king sick of driving my moms van to school!! That thing says 50 mi left till empty but its actually 25, and on top of that its hard to whistle at the sweet honeys in a Quest.

what plug is that? when i installed mine i put the four black wires off the resistor box to the yellow/blacks..then the red wire from the resistor box taps in to each of the color lines (blue/yellow/brown/red)..i just soldered 4 wires to the red one and just soldered the 4 wires coming out to the other wires

maybe that plug is sending out mixed signals?
