Yeah a Credit Union depends soley on its clients for its support, where as a bank gets help from the government. That's why they are more lenient. You should look into opening an account with a Credit Union. They don't have the fee's that banks do, they aren't a "For-Profit" institution, you own a part of the credit union when you open an account, I honestly have no cons for credit unions.
Well banks have accounts where there is no maintence fee... And the CU's around here do have OD fees...A bank is a For-Profit business, the credit union is not. I don't get charged overdraft fee's, maintenance fee's, I get a pretty decent interest rate on my saving account as well.
Is your's a government credit union?Well banks have accounts where there is no maintence fee... And the CU's around here do have OD fees...
