There's two types of FPS players:
First type of players are those that like COD: MW2. They like small maps so crammed together that it takes no skill to shoot another player. Very fast paced, lob nades, throw on heart beat sensors and thermal scopes. Filled with 13 year old kids screaming cuss words and saying "Nigga" a lot, also filled with wanna-be gangbangers.

Second type are those of the Battlefield series, with vast maps that take skill to play. Skill as in logic. Slower paced, no heart beat sensors. Played by older, more teamwork favored players.

This brings to light the fact that you did not try the new maps, nor were you playing hardcore.

Let me guess... team deathmatch midday?

MW2 has a lot to offer, you just have to be playing the right game type for your preference.

I cant STAND hardcore. It harbors modders and campers. CTF and Demolition. But thats not that much better, only thing is at least you KNOW where they are camping  But I havent tried the new new maps yet, just dont want to drop the coin on that yet. And I would really LOVE to get rid of the dual shotguns/pistols, hearbeat sensors and all other nonsense.

^^Get the second map pack before the first... Resurgence. Worth the money. I think both are worth the money, but the second was definitely better.

That's such bullshit. They should give you a refund if you buy it within a week of it turning free. That would make me bitter as hell. I'm bitter that it's free now and I bought it when it came out. I would have waited had I known.

I was playing Hardcore.

I didn't want to spend extra money on maps for a game I already spent 50 bucks on.

I'd play midday, in the evening and at night as well.

The Resurgence pack has the best maps by far. BIGGGG maps too. The heartbeat sensors are annoying, but that's also why they have the ninja perk. Hardcore at night (10-12pm) usually has the people who are better and usually run the annoying kids out.

HAHAH I f**king wish! I Couldn't even tell you how many times I would run up to a medic or an assault guy and need ammo or health. They can clearly see when you need either. But they're too stupid to care or they worry about themselves only. I really think they're n00bs to the series and have no idea wtf throwing the stuff does. But who knows, they could just be idiots.

I really need to find a team of 2 other people who will be on every time I am and my other friend. Cause we need a person to play medic, we both hate LMGs.

x2 on Ninja

I still need to try Battlefield. Don't know anybody who has it so I'll have to rent it at some point. It always just looked like a run and gun to me. I'm more of a precision, stealth, and snipe player.

After playing for a few hours, not even looking back to Modern Warfare 2. I got into Bad Company 2, first 3 games made the top 5.

No constant predator missiles, or any of that bullshit, just a few fun matches.

^^That sends up big red warning lights to me. One of the top players in the first couple games? This leads me to believe that skill is not necessary, and that a new player can easily come on and be just as good as somebody who's been playing for a long time and knows the game. Or am I mistaken?

I played the first BattleField Bad Company online. I constantly got sniped from who knows where. I suppose it will be like that in all war games.

so when does the new 360 actually come out. i have my good days and bad days with mw2. but thats about the only game i play.all games require some skill. but when the controls are all the same it doesnt take long for someone to be good at a new game. like going from world at war to mw2. i was really good for the first couple of days. then everyone else got better.

No, everyone else started modding.

Im tired of the modding bullshit in this game. Not only is it modded controllers, but there are people who have auto aim, and reloading mods. I cant tell you how many times I would be crouched in a corner, and somebodies aimer would literally snap onto me as if it were automated.......far faster than I would be able to aim at someone. Also when an enemy comes up on me, and they are in the middle of reloading.....but the reloading process stops, they have a full clip, and are aimed at me.

I've been playing the Battlefield series since Battlefield 1942. So I'm not exactly new to the series, just to Bad Company 2. It felt just like Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2 merged, which is great. I like the fact that I have to unlock weapons, just hate how long it can take. I unlocked two items my first night and leveled once.

The fully destructible environment is amazing as well. Get in the gunner seat of a tank and plow a person down in a forest or near some tree, and you can little cut trees down.

It's typical DICE work. Nothing is over powered, for every weapon or vehicle there is something else that evens it out.
