He died pretty far into the season. The show didn't start airing until more than half a year after the season ended. It took a while to get to the point in the season where he passed away.

I have been a fan since the start of the show. I won't be missing it.

One of my customers used to camp with Phil and his family every summer in eastern washington for like the last 10+ years. Said he was a hell of a guy and some of the stories he has told me are pretty amazing.

Going to be a hard episode to watch.

He died from a stroke, not smoking. You think it's funny, but when the shoe ends up on your foot one day you won't be laughing anymore. You are very heartless and I am sure your family is very proud of you.

yeah s**t happens in life regardless of what you do in it. im sure his lifestyle didn't help it any, but never the less, if it was it still would of happened.

I think its a very sad moment when someone dies from that crap. he's a father, friend, son an so on. an being on the show for how many years, made him well known.

it didnt clearly state the cause of the stroke but smoking is one of the main factors in causing a stroke. that + sitting all day long+ stress + little air in that little room of his; it is almost no surprise
